Brazilian broiler breeders, the world’s largest exporters rejected and slammed Bolivian president Evo Morales’ statements that linked the consumption of chicken to homosexuality.
Gay and lesbian organizations world wide are up in arms demanding Bolivian president Evo Morales rectify his statements on homosexuality which were described as outrageous and “state homophobia”.
President Lula da Silva defended his “diversification” diplomacy and said that Brazil must extend “a friendly hand” to all Latinamerican countries. He recalled that some interest groups in Brazil wanted him to strongly confront the governments of Bolivia and Paraguay because of differences over energy policies.
Delegates are gathering in the Bolivian city of Cochabamba for a grassroots alternative to last year's UN climate change summit in Copenhagen. The meeting will also celebrate the rights of Mother Earth on 22 April.
