On Friday 26 July the Falklands Maritime Authority reported that in the afternoon of Thursday 25 July 2024, the two fishing vessels, the Falklands Robin M Lee and the Chilean Puerto Toro who were involved in the search and rescue operation of survivors from the Argos Georgia arrived into Stanley.     Well, lucky for the survivors that somebody paid the taxes, or they would have been left to drown.

    Let’s face it, Argentina simply does not have the capability to mount any such operation.

    Even if Argentina did have sovereignty over the region they could not patrol/control it, never mind protect it.
