So, how does this square with the supposed Libertarian's fiscal frugality? Most certainly, the millions of Argentinos lingering in poverty will look up with satisfaction every time supersonic million dollar aircraft roar over head and think: “Ah, well done. Good priorities”

    Mate FortHay,
It is completely coherent. In his campaign, he expressed he'd increase the military budget and eliminate other ministries.
He is just another populist fool like any Hugo Chávez, Fujimori, Johnson or Bukele. But in an experimental way.

I think we should send a letter to the UN about them militarising the south Atlantic! Haha! Let's just see how many are still flying in three years time.

From whom are they defending themselves?
Argentina's armed forces have killed far but far more Argentines than any other nationality.
It is the people of Argentina who objectively should be the most fearful of arming their own military. Let us hope that this time is not a mistake like last time, best of luck with all that.

Very nice cars. I have fond memories of being “invited” to sit in one having briefly gone out from the Faculty of Medicine but left my passport in my office. After a very thorough examination of who I was, where I came from etc etc by what might be best described as a“ thug” I was escorted back into the Faculty.
Wonderful country - shame about the people
