The Chilean senator is full of shite, since Chile's own Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the country's educational system all promote a slice of Antarctica as being Chilean national territory, and the maps published in Chile reflect this “bi-continental country” silliness that both Argentina and Chile suffer from, in failing to meet the letter and the spirit of the Antarctic Treaty System. And it is all the more absurd since both CL and AR have come-lately claims on the previously claimed British Antarctic Territory.
