    Air New Zealand weighing passengers in international flights to improve fuel efficiency

    Air New Zealand is weighing passengers before they board international flights, as part of a survey to determine average passenger weight. The weight will be anonymously recorded in a database but not be visible to airline staff or other passengers, the firm said in a video.

    Covid-19 test or vax no longer required to enter Brazil

    The isolation of passengers with symptoms compatible with covid-19 or with confirmed contamination is maintained.

    In line with the World Health Organization's decision to lift the Covid-19 global emergency, Brazilian authorities decided that both nationals and foreigners entering the South American country no longer need to present proof of vaccination or a negative covid-19 test, Agencia Brasil reported.

    Tierra del Fuego claims a record cruise season with 503 calls and 220,000 people

    Argentine province Tierra del Fuego authorities have said that 2022/23, has been an excellent cruise season with a record 503 calls and a turnover of some 220,000 people between passengers and crew members. Expectations for the next season are even better with at least 591 calls anticipated.

    Flight bookings to UK increased 149% for trips during Coronation of Charles III

    Globally, searches for international flights to the U.K. increased by 81% within 24 hours of the date of the King's Coronation being confirmed.

    When in October 2022, Buckingham Palace announced that the Coronation of King Charles III, would take place on Saturday, 6 May 2023, international flight bookings to the UK increased 149% for trips during those regal events.
